Deja Vu

In what ways can an installation foster awareness and understanding of people's recurring dreams, unraveling the deeper facets of self?

Year: 2021
Category: Interactive Design, Experiential

Solution

“I think I’ve had this dream before..” This interactive installation hopes to uncover and portray the motivation to escape changes. Through a visual narrative, three images of the same person and pose, each adorned with different hues of secondary colors, unveil the essence of recurring dreams — a composite of past visions and evolving characteristics. The installation features a unique "flower pot" where viewers can arrange flowers and articulate their personal fears of change.

Anticipated Impact(s)

At its core, this installation was more than an artistic expression. By acknowledging and articulating fears of change through the flower pot interaction, I catalyzed personal growth. The installation acted as a medium for individuals to delve into self-understanding, recognizing that change begins with acknowledging fears and has the potential to blossom into personal transformation.
